NEW YORK<\/span>, Oct. 4, 2019<\/span> \/PRNewswire<\/a>\/ — Milan Records, an imprint of Sony Music Masterworks, today releases EUPHORIA (ORIGINAL SCORE FROM THE HBO SERIES)<\/strong> with music by chart-topping, multiplatinum-selling artist and producer LABRINTH<\/strong>.  Available everywhere now<\/a>, the album features score music from the first season of the hit HBO series and marks Labrinth’s first-ever project as lead composer.  The score will also be released in vinyl format beginning Friday, January 10<\/span><\/strong> and is available for preorder now<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\"Euphoria<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Written and recorded in close collaboration with the show’s writer Sam Levinson<\/span>, his original compositions feature prominently throughout the series as a sonic companion to the show’s angst-driven narrative.  The resulting 26-track collection is a genre blending mix of gospel, soul and electronic influences, indicative both of Labrinth’s imitable style as well as the show’s deeply moving storyline. <\/p>\n

Of the album, LABRINTH<\/strong> says, “My experience with Euphoria<\/em> has made me a better musician. It was a dream come true to give wings and add magic to the different storylines. It was a collaborative effort among Sam Levinson<\/span>, the crew and the cast – I only added texture to an already phenomenal show. Euphoria<\/em> follows a group of high school students as they navigate love and friendships in a world of drugs, sex, trauma and social media.  The ensemble cast of Euphoria<\/em> includes actor and singer Zendaya, Maude Apatow<\/span> (Girls<\/em>), Angus Cloud<\/span>, Eric Dane<\/span>, Alexa Demie<\/span>, Jacob Elordi<\/span>, Barbie Ferreira<\/span>, Nika King<\/span>, Storm Reid<\/span>, Hunter Schafer<\/span>, Algee Smith<\/span> and Sydney Sweeney<\/span> (Sharp Objects<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Euphoria<\/em> is an American adaptation of an Israeli show of the same name, and all episodes are written by Sam Levinson<\/span> (Assassination Nation<\/em>), who also serves as executive producer. The series is produced in partnership with A24 (Lady Bird<\/span><\/em>, Random Acts of Flyness<\/em>, 2 Dope Queens, Pod Save America<\/em>) and includes executive producers Drake, Future the Prince, Ravi Nandan<\/span>, Kevin Turen<\/span>, Hadas Mozes Lichtenstein<\/span>, Tmira Yardeni, Mirit Toovi<\/span>, Yoram Mokadi and Gary Lennon<\/span>. ABOUT LABRINTH
<\/strong>2019 has been a big year for Labrinth. In addition to his ambitious undertaking with scoring and contributing original music to one of 2019’s biggest shows in HBO’s Euphoria<\/em>, the last year also saw the formation of supergroup LSD (Labrinth, Sia, Diplo) who released an album in April.
