The 70th edition of the San Sebastian Festival will host the world premiere of cSINTI\u00c9NDOLO MUCHO, <\/strong>the documentary film made by the filmmaker Fernando<\/strong> Le\u00f3n de Aranoa<\/strong> after thirteen years accompanying Joaqu\u00edn Sabina <\/strong>on and off stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leiva<\/strong> closes the creative triangle of the film, composing the original music. The musician and producer, a close friend of Sabina, has been an important figure in Sabina’s musical composition and production in recent years. From his album Vinagre y rosas<\/em>, to his latest album lo niego todo<\/em> -as a producer-, as well as a regular partner and compositional tandem in his most recent publications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The premiere of the film will take place at the Velodrome, one of the most popular sections of the event where, before 3,000 spectators and on a 400-meter screen, major premieres are projected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SINTI\u00c9NDOLO<\/strong> MUCHO marks Le\u00f3n de Aranoa’s fourth appearance at the San Sebasti\u00e1n Festival<\/strong>. A fruitful link that began in 1998 with Barrio,<\/em> a title for which he won the Concha de Plata for Best Director, and continued in 2002 with Los Lunes al Sol<\/em>, which won the highest award, la Concha de Oro for Best Movie. In the last edition, in 2021, he was present with El buen patr\u00f3n, winner of six goyas, among others, for the best film and the best direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The director has stated<\/strong>: \u201cI am very excited to return to the San Sebasti\u00e1n festival after the experience with El Buen Patron last year. And to do it this time accompanied by musicians, Leiva and Joaqu\u00edn. His music is part of my aesthetic and sentimental education. It’s not that I like it: it’s that I’m a member of it. The festival is going to be the last stage of a very exciting journey, which we started thirteen years ago.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For its part, \u201cat Reposado, BTF Media and Sony Music Spain we are very satisfied and proud that an international competition in the category of the San Sebastian Festival is hosting the world premiere of “SINTI\u00c9NDOLO MUCHO”. A film in which cinema and music come together forcefully, and it is an example of the enormous talent of two fundamental people in the Spanish cultural panorama of recent decades: its protagonist, Joaqu\u00edn Sabina, and its director, Fernando Le\u00f3n de Aranoa\u201d, affirm the producers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le\u00f3n de Aranoa, screenwriter, director and producer of fiction<\/strong> films such as El Buen Patr\u00f3n<\/em>(2021), Princesas <\/em>(2005), Los Lunes al Sol<\/em> (2002), Barrio <\/em>(1998) or Familia<\/em> (1996), which have been screened at festivals such as Cannes, Venice, Berlin and Sundance, and have achieved countless awards (among others, 24 Goya awards), he also has a committed and successful career as a documentary filmmaker.<\/strong> In 2001 he premiered Caminantes<\/em>, a portrait of the Zapatista march to Mexico D.F. to claim the rights of the indigenous people that was awarded at festivals in Havana, Los Angeles or New York. And in 2007 he was part of los Invisibles <\/em>as director of the chapter Buenas noches, Ouma<\/em>, winner of the Goya Award for Best Documentary Film. They were followed by Pol\u00edtica, manual de instrucciones <\/em>(2016), witness to the birth of Podemos until its arrival at Congress, presented in Berlin and Toronto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SINTI\u00c9NDOLO MUCHO <\/strong>is a Reposado, BTF Media and Sony Music Spain<\/strong> production that reveals the authentic personality of one of the most important Spanish singers, composers and poets of recent decades and is the first work of its kind on Joaqu\u00edn Sabina. A challenge that has been possible thanks to the close relationship, based on admiration and trust between the musician and the filmmaker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SINTI\u00c9NDOLO MUCHO<\/strong> is a raw portrait of Joaqu\u00edn Sabina made inches away from him, with nocturnality and treachery, by his friend, the filmmaker Fernando Le\u00f3n de Aranoa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A story like his voice, harsh, direct and unmatched, which recounts without mitigating the intimacy of the artist, his backstage, the side no one knows about. That begins when he comes down from the stage, and accompanies him in the everyday, therefore in the unexpected: in laughter and drama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SINTI\u00c9NDOLO MUCHO<\/strong> is the result of thirteen years of filming together, and it covers all of Joaqu\u00edn Sabina, public and private, luminous and hidden. A journey through the keys to his life and his work: what moves him, what inspires him, what hurts him, always developed from live, shared situations between musician and filmmaker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La 70\u00aa edici\u00f3n del Festival de San Sebasti\u00e1n acoger\u00e1 el estreno mundial de SINTI\u00c9NDOLO MUCHO,<\/strong> la pel\u00edcula documental realizada por el cineasta Fernando Le\u00f3n de Aranoa<\/strong> tras trece a\u00f1os acompa\u00f1ando a Joaqu\u00edn Sabina <\/strong>dentro y fuera de los escenarios.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leiva <\/strong>cierra el tri\u00e1ngulo creativo de la pel\u00edcula, componiendo la m\u00fasica original. El m\u00fasico y productor, amigo \u00edntimo de Sabina, es una constante en la composici\u00f3n y producci\u00f3n musical de Sabina en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os. Desde su \u00e1lbum Vinagre y rosas<\/em>, hasta su \u00faltimo disco Lo niego todo<\/em> -como productor-, as\u00ed como partner habitual y t\u00e1ndem compositivo en sus publicaciones m\u00e1s recientes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La premier del filme tendr\u00e1 lugar en el Vel\u00f3dromo, una de las secciones m\u00e1s populares del certamen donde, ante 3.000 espectadores y en una pantalla de 400 metros, se proyectan grandes estrenos. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

SINTI\u00c9NDOLO<\/strong> MUCHO supone la cuarta participaci\u00f3n de Le\u00f3n de Aranoa en el Festival de San Sebasti\u00e1n.<\/strong> Un fruct\u00edfero v\u00ednculo que comenz\u00f3 en 1998 con Barrio,<\/em> t\u00edtulo por el que el que obtuvo la Concha de Plata al Mejor Director, y continu\u00f3 en 2002 con Los lunes al sol, <\/em>que se alz\u00f3 con el m\u00e1ximo galard\u00f3n, la Concha de Oro a la Mejor Pel\u00edcula. En la pasada edici\u00f3n, en 2021, estuvo presente con El buen patr\u00f3n, <\/em>ganadora de seis goyas, entre otros, a la mejor pel\u00edcula y la mejor direcci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El director ha declarado<\/strong>: \u201cMe hace mucha ilusi\u00f3n volver al festival de San Sebasti\u00e1n despu\u00e9s de la experiencia con El buen patr\u00f3n, el a\u00f1o pasado. Y hacerlo esta vez acompa\u00f1ado de m\u00fasicos, de Leiva y de Joaqu\u00edn. Su m\u00fasica forma parte de mi educaci\u00f3n est\u00e9tica y sentimental. No es que me guste: es que milito en ella. El festival va a ser la \u00faltima etapa de un viaje muy emocionante, que comenzamos hace ya trece a\u00f1os.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Y en 2007 form\u00f3 parte de Invisibles<\/em> como director del cap\u00edtulo Buenas noches, Ouma, <\/em>premio Goya a la Mejor Pel\u00edcula Documental.
