{"id":7696,"date":"2022-07-18T09:06:26","date_gmt":"2022-07-18T13:06:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sonymusic.com\/?p=7696"},"modified":"2022-07-18T09:06:27","modified_gmt":"2022-07-18T13:06:27","slug":"sme-middle-east-and-craft-media-partnership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sonymusic.com\/sonymusic\/sme-middle-east-and-craft-media-partnership\/","title":{"rendered":"Sony Music Entertainment Middle East and Craft Media Sign Exclusive Partnership to Sign Arabic Superstars"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>DUBAI, Monday 18 July, 2022&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2013 Sony Music Entertainment Middle East and leading Egyptian music and event production company, Craft Media, announced today an exclusive partnership to sign, produce and promote Arabic artists and music across the Middle East.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new agreement cements the relationship between the two companies, which, since early 2021, has created some of the biggest hits across the Middle East.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Working together with Craft Media and its founder Hamdy Badr, one of the leading producers in the Arab world, the partnership has turned out a series of hits in the regional charts, including songs by pan Arab super stars such as: \u201cKelna Mnenjar\u201d by Wael Kfoury, \u201cElghazala Ra2ya\u201d by Karim Mahmoud Abdelaziz, \u201cSayrena Ya Donia\u201d by Ahmed Saad, \u2018Damayer\u2019 by the iconic Elissa and \u201cYa Fatenny\u201d, one of the biggest global Arabic albums by Hamaki, featuring chart toppers \u201cLaw Hatsib\u201d, \u201cTak, \u201cZayaha Meen\u201d and \u201cLa Malama\u201d. Together, these&nbsp;songs have enjoyed over 70 weeks of cumulative chart time since May 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The IFPI identified the Middle East and North Africa (MENA)&nbsp; as the fastest-growing recorded music region in this year\u2019s Global Music Report, with&nbsp;increased social media consumption, more people using short form video platforms and streaming of music accounting for 95.3 per cent of the region\u2019s overall revenue.&nbsp;Through this agreement, the two companies will continue to focus on supporting this growth with sustained investment in Arab World hits and stars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAt Sony Music, we have always believed in the power of collaboration in spurring innovation and creating new opportunities for our artists.
